Four clear company roles
| Role | Recommended use |
|---|---|
| Owner | Full company control, including managers, permissions, and modules |
| Full manager | Daily company management with broad access |
| Limited manager | Management of explicitly selected areas such as CRM, tasks, or knowledge |
| Team member | Daily work in the areas assigned to that person |
Invite and verify
- 1Open My team. Agency staff are managed from Settings → Team & permissions
- 2Invite the person using their real email address
- 3Choose the role; for limited access, select the exact capabilities
- 4Ask the person to sign in and confirm the visible work areas
- 5Test a direct link to a restricted area and confirm that access is blocked
Permissions apply in the dashboard, APIs, the smart assistant, and MCP tools. A connected chat cannot bypass access that the person does not have in the interface.
A teammate runs the business inside the dashboard. Someone who signs in to your public website is a website customer, and they live in Website → Website customers — a different thing entirely.
Tip: Start with the smallest access that supports the person’s real responsibilities, then expand it when the role changes.
You can simply ask Up
Up answers using this guide, suggests the next step, and leads to the relevant screen.
